Savoring Italy Series: Discovering Campania!✨
On Wednesday, November 20th, our ICS headquarters was filled with the vibrant flavors and traditions of Campania during the latest event in our Apericena – Savoring Italy series. Guests came together to enjoy a delightful evening celebrating one of Italy’s most iconic regions in true Italian style—with food, wine, and community.
The night began with an overview of Campania’s cultural and gastronomic treasures by Dr. Francesca Romana Memoli, who shared insights about the region’s rich heritage. Adding to the experience, Maurizio Farro from Cantiniere Imports presented two exquisite wines from Campi Flegrei: the fresh and floral Falanghina White Wine and the velvety Piedirosso Per’ e Palummo Red Wine, both of which perfectly complemented the evening’s dishes.
Guests savored a delicious spread featuring Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, prepared with ingredients generously donated by The Italian Store and skillfully cooked by our cooking instructor Ornella. Federica Brogna, from United States of Italy, delighted everyone with her homemade Pastiera Napoletana and brioche rustica, which added a personal touch to the event.
The relaxed apericena format created the perfect atmosphere for mingling, enjoying great food, and celebrating Campania’s unique charm. Whether sharing a glass of wine or learning a new Italian phrase, the sense of community made the evening truly special.
