The ICS – Italian Language Program is looking for:

1. Marketing, Communication and Events coordinator (Employee)

Requirements:

  • Must have a work permit
  • Fluent in Italian language
  • Strong written English and communication skills
  • Familiar with Digital Marketing, blog, YouTube, WordPress, Indesign to produce marketing collateral
  • University degree or Master
  • Passion for Italian culture
  • Previous experience in project management or marketing, communication, social media, event planning
  • Creative, flexible, motivated and with a positive personality

The ideal candidate is well versed in Italian culture, has good English, with excellent organizational and communication skills. She/he is available during the weekend, is able to coordinate events and available to also serve at the reception, if necessary. A detailed job description will be provided after applying.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: 35 hours/week employee.

2. Children’s Language Program Coordinator (Part time employee)

Requirements:

  • Must have a work permit
  • Native Italian, who grew up and studied in Italy
  • University degree, preferably in Education
  • Passion for teaching children
  • Previous experience in teaching children
  • Creative, flexible, motivated and with a positive personality

Il/la candidato/a ideale dovrà coordinare insegnanti, sillabi, materiale, libri, e formazione delle classi, con il supporto dello staff. Dovrà aggiornare, implementare e standardizzare i programmi, il curriculum completo dai 2 anni ai 16-17 (preparazione AP). 

L’impegno richiede:

  • Insegnamento di un corso il venerdì 4:30-6:00pm
  • Insegnamento di uno o due corsi il sabato 
  • Altri eventuali corsi, o tutorial, o ore di insegnamento in scuole private dell’area di Washington DC
  • Lavoro di coordinamento: circa 5-10 ore a settimana, in media, per circa 40 settimane all’anno + responsabilità dei summer camps ed eventuali workshop.

3. Italian teacher for kids’ or teens’ classes in Bethesda, MD, Washington DC, and Fairfax, VA (Contractor)

Requirements:

  • Must have a work permit
  • Native Italian, who grew up and studied in Italy
  • University degree, preferably in Education
  • Passion for teaching children
  • Previous experience in teaching children
  • Creative, flexible, motivated and with a positive personality

4. Teachers for adults in Bethesda, MD, Washington DC, Fairfax,VA and Frederick, MD (Contractor)

Requirements:

  • Must have a work permit
  • Native Italian, who grew up and studied in Italy
  • University degree
  • University degree, preferably in Education, Lettere, Arts, Languages, Psychology
  • Passion for teaching Italian
  • Previous experience in teaching
  • Creative, motivated, extroverted and with a positive personality

5. Cooking Class Teacher (Contractor)

Requirements:

  • Must have a work permit
  • Native Italian, who grew up and studied in Italy
  • University degree
  • Passion for cooking and cuisine culture
  • Previous experience
  • Creative, flexible, motivated and with a positive personality
  • The cooking classes will take place at the teacher’s home, or at the client’s home

6. Grant Writer and Fundraiser (Contractor)

Requirements:

  • Must have a work permit
  • Previous experience in writing grants and fundraising

Contractor paid on a project/commission basis

Student Volunteers for organizing our library and DVDs

Requirements:

  • High School or 7-8th grade student needing SSL hours, or anyone

Student Volunteers as Children Teacher’s Assistant

Requirements:

  • High School or 7-8th grade student needing SSL hours, or anyone
  • Passion for children
  • Background check
