The Italian Cultural Society is seeking qualified Italian language instructors to teach classes at our locations in Bethesda, MD, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia.

* Italian teacher for adult classes in Bethesda, MD, Washington DC, and Northern VA 

Requirements:

• Valid U.S. work authorization.
• Native speaker of Italian who was raised and educated in Italy.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Previous experience teaching Italian as a second/foreign language.
• Reliable, flexible, motivated, and enthusiastic, with a positive and professional attitude.

* Italian teacher for kids’ or teens’ classes in Bethesda, MD, Washington DC, and Fairfax, VA and teacher for summer camps (Contractor)

Requirements:

• Valid U.S. work authorization.
• Native speaker of Italian who was raised and educated in Italy.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Education
• Passion for teaching children
• Previous experience in teaching children
• Creative, flexible, motivated and with a positive personality

* Children’s Language Program Coordinator (Contractor)

Requirements:

• Valid U.S. work authorization.
• Native speaker of Italian who was raised and educated in Italy.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Passion for teaching children
• Previous experience in teaching children
• Creative, flexible, motivated and with a positive personality

Il/la candidato/a ideale dovrà coordinare insegnanti, sillabi, materiale, libri, e formazione delle classi. Dovrà aggiornare, implementare e standardizzare i programmi, il curriculum completo dai 2 anni ai 16-17 (preparazione AP). 

L’impegno richiede:

• Insegnamento di un corso il venerdì e/o il lunedì 4:30-6:00pm
• Insegnamento di uno o due corsi il sabato 
• Altri eventuali corsi, o tutorial, o ore di insegnamento in scuole private dell’area di Washington DC
• Lavoro di coordinamento: circa 5-10 ore a settimana, in media, soprattutto prima dell’inizio dei corsi e a fine anno scolastico.

* Cooking Class Teacher (Contractor)

Requirements:

• Must have a work permit
• Native Italian, who grew up and studied in Italy
• University degree
• Passion for cooking and cuisine culture
• Previous experience
• Creative, flexible, motivated and with a positive personality
• The cooking classes will take place at the teacher’s home, or at the client’s home

* Student Volunteers as Children Teacher’s Assistant and Summer Camp Asssitant

Requirements:

• High School or 7-8th grade student needing SSL hours, or anyone
• Passion for children
• Background check
