The Italian Cultural Society of Washington presented Vino & Cultura: Italian Wine Journey with Sommelier Claudio Tanca, a four-part series exploring Italy’s wine traditions through culture, history, and taste.
Each session focused on a different region of Italy — Southern, Central, and Northern — offering an introduction to wine tasting and sensory appreciation, along with guided tastings of selected wines paired with regional cheeses, breads, and simple dishes.
Led by Italian sommelier Claudio Tanca, the series combined cultural insight with an engaging and approachable teaching style.
The final session, held at Roberto’s Ristorante Italiano, offered a special immersive experience in an authentic Italian setting.
The program was well-received, providing participants with a unique journey through Italy’s diverse wine regions.
