Membership

Membership is open to anyone who shares interest in Italian culture. One need not be Italian or of Italian heritage, to become a member and enjoy the Society's benefits

Some of the membership benefits are:

1 - Free attendance to monthly meetings

Lectures and presentations, based on Italian art, archeology, music, history, science, education, literature and politics are given by experts in the field. Following the presentations, members are offered refreshments and have the opportunity to socialize and brush off on their Italian.

2 - A monthly newsletter

All members automatically receive each month the Society's newsletter "Poche Parole", with the subject of the upcoming meeting presentation, updates on Society's matters and many interesting and informative articles.

3 - Discount on Italian Courses

Members registering for any of the Italian courses offered by the Italian Language Program sponsored by the Italian Cultural Society receive a discount.

4 - Free attendance to Society's activities

In addition to monthly meetings, members may attend for free Ferragosto, Festa Italiana, Carnevale, and the Christmas party. Also, free are the monthly Italian films and the Italian conversation courses taught by native instructors before the monthly meeting and the children classes offered during the meeting.

Membership fees, donations and funds from fundraising activities such as the Fall concert, are the Italian Cultural Society's only revenue and the main source for the Society's Award and Scholarship funds, in addition to covering expenses for the daily operations of the Society. All Board Members and volunteers serve without remuneration.
